Our staff is pleased to serve members of the public, the City Council, and City staff!
The City Clerk oversees processing of City Council agendas, and serves as the official recorder of the Minutes of the City Council meetings. The City Clerk also serves as Secretary to the Successor Agency of the former El Cajon Redevelopment Agency and the El Cajon Housing Authority.
The City Clerk is the Elections Official, and administers El Cajon’s municipal and special elections. Serving as the City’s Filing Officer, the City Clerk is also responsible for receiving and maintaining campaign disclosure statements and Statements of Economic Interest (Form 700) filings.
The Office of the City Clerk facilitates recruitment and appointments to City Boards and Commissions, receives requests for records, and administers the City’s records management program to ensure effective distribution, processing and retention of records.
