TYPE OF INCIDENT: Shooting
OCCURRED 04/02/18 at approx. 8:34 PM
LOCATION OF OCCURRENCE: 1327 Marline Avenue, El Cajon
RESUME OF INCIDENT:
On 04-02-2018 at about 8:34 p.m., Police and paramedics responded to a residence at 1327 Marline Avenue on a call that a man had been shot. Upon arrival, police found the man with a minor, non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his stomach. The shooting is believed to have occurred during a domestic disturbance between the victim and his wife, who had fled the scene on foot. After a ground and air search, the firearm used in the shooting was recovered and the female suspect was located a short distance away and was taken into custody without incident. The female suspect, 50 year-old Theresa Diedrich, was later booked into jail on charges of Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The male victim, 53 year-old Robert Diedrich, was treated and released at the scene.
At this time, there are no outstanding suspects in this case and all weapons have been recovered.
