DATE AND TIME OCCURRED:  03/20/2020 1955 Hours

LOCATION OF OCCURRENCE:  700 Applewood Drive

BUSINESS NAME:  N/A 

SUSPECT DESCRIPTIONS:

UNKNOWN

RESUME OF INCIDENT: At approximately 7:55 PM on March 20, 2020, El Cajon Police responded to the area of 700 Applewood Drive to reports of gunshots heard with several people fleeing from the area.  According to witnesses, a confrontation had taken place in the street near the intersection of Applewood Drive and Cedar Street.  Officers arrived on scene and confirmed two males had been shot.  Both were transported to local hospitals for treatment.  One male, a 20 year old El Cajon resident, was shot in the leg and is expected to survive.  The second male, also a 20 year old resident of El Cajon, was shot in the torso and succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

The names of the victims are not being released at this time pending notification of the families.
