County Passes Framework for Non-Essential Businesses to Reopen

Post Date:05/05/2020 5:30 PM

In anticipation of the Governor’s amendment to the Stay at Home Orders, the County of San Diego has developed the Reopen San Diego Business Safety Framework. This framework provides a baseline series of broad actions that non-essential businesses will need to implement to safely reopen. Non-essential businesses should take steps now to prepare to reopen when the time comes.

Non-essential businesses may not reopen until authorized by the Governor’s Executive Order and all businesses will be required to complete the Safe Reopening Plan (SRP). This plan does not need to be submitted now. Essential businesses already operating do not need to submit a new plan.

Visit the City of El Cajon’s website at https://www.cityofelcajon.us/resident-services/public-safety/coronavirus-covid-19-information/business-resources for links to the ReOpen San Diego Business Safety Framework and the Safe Reopening Plan template.
