The City of El Cajon has created a Project Assistance Center to aid residents, property owners, businesses, and developers with their projects.
This is a whole systems approach to project approval and development. No longer is an applicant dealing with different City Departments in an effort to gain approval for their project. Our development teams are now consolidated into a single Project Assistance Center that includes fully integrated Planning, Engineering, Building and Housing Services, all directly reporting to the Assistant City Manager.
This combined approach, along with our commitment toward providing efficient quality services has enabled the City of El Cajon to guarantee the fastest and most effective permit processing times of projects anywhere in San Diego County.
The Project Assistance Center is now online. To create an account and apply for many types of permits, please go to www.cityofelcajon.us/PACO. Registration instructions can be found here. Project Assistance Center is located at the El Cajon City Hall building, 200 Civic Center Way, on the third floor.
