through the Acceptance Facility at the
City of El Cajon Office of the City Clerk

Beginning Wednesday, June 3, 2020, by APPOINTMENT ONLY, we will be accepting routine passport applications.  Please review the passport document/photo requirements shown on this website prior to contacting us.

Again, passport applications will be processed by appointment only. Our telephone number is:  619-441-1763.

Due to the current health crisis, we will only serve those without COVID-19 symptoms (frequent cough, fever, difficulty breathing, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, recent loss of taste or smell). Currently, if you or someone in your household has COVID-19, we respectfully request that you do not schedule an appointment at this time.

Expedite service is not available.

Unless you have a life-or-death emergency, please wait to apply for or renew your passport or you will experience significant delays of several months to receive your U.S. passport and your citizenship evidence documents.

Passport processing is by appointment only:

Monday through Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and
Alternate Fridays:        8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Please call (619) 441-1763 to make an appointment to process your application.
