Fletcher Hills Pool
The City of El Cajon Parks and Recreation Department offers aquatic programming from April through October at the Fletcher Hills Pool. Nicely heated and with depths of 3- 4.5 feet, this pool offers programs for all ages. Group and private swim lessons, Recreational Swim Team, Junior Lifeguard program, and Water Aerobics- there's something for everyone!
Open Swim (late June through early August)
Monday- Friday: 1:10 pm- 2:10 pm (ages 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult IN THE WATER at all times)
Adult Lap Swim (late June through early August)
Monday- Friday: 1:10 pm- 2:10 pm
Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 7:00 pm- 8:10 pm
Parent Tot (6 months- 3 years)
Parent Tot classes are a great way to introduce your child to swimming. You participate in the pool with your child practicing basic skills and playing games while being led by an instructor. Children must wear a swim diaper and be accompanied by one adult for this class.
Tiny Tots (3- 5 years)
This class is a great water adaption class to teach your child basic swimming skills including confidence, floats, glides, and arm strokes.
Learn to Swim (6- 12 years)
This program offers levels for all skill sets- from having no swim experience to advanced swimming strokes and endurance.
Private Swim Lessons (3 years and up)
Our very popular private swim lessons are perfect for any swimming ability! Whether it's fine-tuning a specific stroke or even just beginning skills, private lessons are a great way to improve your swimming ability. There are private (one-on-one) and semi-private (two-on-one or three-on-one) options available.
Recreational Swim Team (6- 13 years)
For the swimmer who wants a structured, coach-led workout in a non-competitive environment, Swim Team is a great way to increase your child's fitness and teach them freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly.
Junior Lifeguard Program (11- 16 years)
This program consists of 2 five- week sessions and is designed to give students the knowledge, communication, and decision-making skills to become a lifeguard. This class is a great continuation after lessons or swim team. This is NOT a lifeguard certification. Participants must have passed Learn to Swim Level 3 prior to taking this class.
Water Aerobics (16 years and up)
A low impact, high resistance workout that increases flexibility, range of motion, and strength. This is a great socializing class that focuses on fun and fitness! No swimming experience necessary. Senior (55+) discount rates available.
